Who we are

Adassa Innovations Ltd is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. We are registered in England & Wales under company number 11876636 and operate from Cambridge, United Kingdom.

What this policy covers

This policy covers this website and the Alexa skills we publish under our own name.

Our other products each have their own privacy policy, because each processes different data. If you arrived here looking for one of those, it is the one that applies:

It does not cover work we deliver for clients. Where we build or run something for a client and personal data is involved, the client decides what happens to that data and we act on their instructions under our contract with them. Their own privacy notice applies to their users, not this one.

This website

If you use our contact form we collect the name, email address, company and message you provide. We use this solely to respond to your enquiry. Our lawful basis is taking steps at your request prior to entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us.

Enquiries are delivered to our Google Workspace mailboxes by Resend, our email provider. We review these mailboxes periodically and delete enquiries once they are no longer needed. In any event we do not keep them for longer than 24 months from your last contact with us, except where an enquiry became a contract, in which case we keep the record for six years after the engagement ends to meet our legal and accounting obligations.

Our hosting provider records standard server logs, which may include your IP address, browser user agent and the time of your request. These are used to keep the service running and to detect abuse, on the basis of our legitimate interests, and are held for a short period before being overwritten.

We also apply a rate limit to the contact form to prevent abuse. This stores a one-way hash of your IP address in memory for a few minutes. The original address is not stored and the hash cannot be reversed to identify you.

Cookies and similar technologies

This site sets no advertising or cross-site tracking technologies. Our fonts are served from this domain rather than a third party, so viewing the site makes no request to an external font service.

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are useful and how people find us. It is not loaded when you first arrive. It loads only if you choose “Accept” on the banner, and nothing is stored on or read from your device before then.

If you accept, Google Analytics sets cookies named _ga and _ga_<id> to tell repeat visits apart. They last up to two years. Google Analytics 4 does not record your IP address, and we do not use it for advertising, remarketing or cross-site tracking.

You can change your mind at any time using Cookie settings in the footer. Declining after having accepted also deletes the cookies already set. Our lawful basis for the cookies themselves is your consent under PECR, and for the resulting analysis, our legitimate interest in improving the site.

Google acts as our processor for Google Analytics and may process the data outside the UK. Their handling is governed by the Google Business Data Responsibility terms, and transfers are covered by the safeguards described below.

Our Alexa skills and voice applications

This policy also covers the Alexa skills we publish. Amazon does not share your identity with skill developers by default, and we do not receive your name, email address or Amazon account details when you use one of our skills.

Some skills store progress or preferences against an anonymous identifier provided by the platform, so the skill can remember where you were. This is not linked to any other information and we cannot use it to identify you.

Amazon sends us aggregate usage information about our skills, such as device type, the date and time of use, retention rate and similar statistics. We use this to understand how our skills are used and to improve them, on the basis of our legitimate interests. We no longer publish Samsung Bixby capsules or Google Assistant Actions; our 2019 policy referred to those and this policy replaces it.

You can remove stored data for a skill by disabling it in the Alexa app, or by contacting us.

Children's privacy

Some of what we publish is intended for children, including Music Bop Adventures. Our children’s skills do not collect personal information from children.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without a parent or guardian’s consent. If you believe we have, contact us at contact@adassainnovations.com and we will remove it.

Our mobile applications

Daily Brain Training Games has its own privacy policy, which is the one named on its Google Play listing and which governs the app. You can read it at dailybraintraining.com/privacy.

We keep it separate rather than restating it here, because the app has an account system and processes more than this website does. Its Play Data safety declaration records that it collects personal information and device or other identifiers, that data is encrypted in transit, and that you can request deletion.

Who we share data with

We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for advertising. We use the following processors, who act only on our instructions:

• Hostinger International Ltd — hosting for this website and its server logs.
• Resend — delivers contact-form enquiries to our mailboxes.
• Google — Google Workspace for our email, and Google Analytics, which runs only if you accept it.
• Amazon — hosts and distributes our Alexa skills.

Some of these process data outside the UK. Where they do, the transfer is covered by the UK International Data Transfer Addendum to the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses, or by the UK extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, under each provider’s data processing terms. We may also disclose personal data where we are required to by law.

Links to other sites

This site links to services we do not control, including Amazon, Google Play, Etsy and Spotify. We are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices, and we would encourage you to read the privacy notice of any site you go on to use.

Your rights

You have the right to ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive it in a portable form. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time.

To exercise any of these, email contact@adassainnovations.com. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

Automated decision-making

We do not make decisions about you by automated means, and we do not profile you.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page when our practices change, and will revise the date at the top. Material changes will be brought to your attention where we are able to.
